Happy Birthday, Jesus!

Today is my family’s favorite holiday, as it is for many families I’m sure.  It’s a day of exchanging gifts to each other and sharing the great love we have for each other.  Being a father, my wife and I carefully plan throughout the year just the right gifts for each of our children.  We have one boy and one girl; and they are at completely different age levels.  So each gift is picked according to their interests, abilities and desires.  A lot of thought and research goes into our gift-giving this time of year.  As I reflect on the real meaning of Christmas, I realize how much and how long God the Father planned for giving us the perfect Gift over 2000 years ago.  This gift, was exactly what we needed, and it was not given without careful planning nor without much anticipation.  He spent many, many years planning to the minutest detail exactly how He was going to give it and exactly when.  ”But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth His Son” (Galatians 4:4).  And what a Gift He was and is today.  Everything we long for, and need for today, and for all eternity is wrapped up in Jesus Christ.  He truly is the Reason for the Season.  Thank you Father, for giving Jesus to us!  There never will be a more perfect gift than Him!

I pray that you and your family have a fantastic Christmas and New Year!  Merry Christmas!

Equation For A Terrific Session

Beautiful family + beautiful Autumn day + terrific setting = fantastic session – guaranteed.  It’s like “1+1=2″.  Chris and Kellie are very good and dear friends of ours, and we love them like family!  So, I always have a great time doing a session with them.  But, when you add in the beautiful weather we had and the great location, it was fantastic.  Time flew by, and before we knew it the sun was beginning to set.  So I have lots of images to share below.  Enjoy!

Super Love

What to do you get when have two older siblings and a two-year old at a portrait session? Some fun moments, that’s for sure.  You can tell this little guy is one super-loved boy.  And couldn’t you eat him up, too?

The two older kids were so great.  I had fun getting to know them as mom would settle down the active little guy.

And how sweet is this image?  Like I said earlier, this is one loved little guy – and for good reason, too!

Here’s one just of the beautiful sister.

And to wrap up, here’s a sweet image of mom and her super-loved boy.  I can’t wait to do another session with them.  It’s always fun and a little sad to see little kids getting big so fast.  Thanks guys for allowing me the privilege to photograph your sweet family!
